Job Overview

No Bugs Pest Control is seeking a Rodent Control Technician to manage rat and mouse infestations in urban environments throughout Philadelphia.

This role focuses on inspection, exclusion, trapping, and long-term rodent prevention strategies in both residential and commercial settings.

The position requires hands-on problem-solving and the ability to identify structural vulnerabilities contributing to infestations.

About the Role

Philadelphia’s dense urban landscape presents unique rodent challenges. This role is critical in delivering effective, compliant, and sustainable rodent control solutions using integrated pest management (IPM) techniques.

Key Responsibilities

    • Inspect properties to identify rodent activity, nesting areas, and entry points
    • Install and maintain traps, bait stations, and monitoring systems
    • Perform exclusion work, including sealing gaps, repairing entry points, and advising on sanitation improvements
    • Develop customized rodent control plans for each client
    • Maintain detailed service records and compliance documentation
    • Communicate clearly with clients about risks, findings, and prevention strategies
    • Ensure all treatments meet local and federal safety standards

Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in rodent control or pest management
    • Familiarity with urban pest challenges
    • Pennsylvania pesticide license or willingness to obtain

Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: $40,000 – $50,000 per year
